Hey everyone!
As you may or may not know it was my 20th birthday on Sunday (16th December), which I was super excited about! So I am going to do a quick post on here about what I got up to :)
Quick disclaimer: This is in no way a post for me to brag about what I was given for my birthday. I personally love these kinds of posts and hauls etc, as I am really interested in that kind of thing. If you are not, then there is probably not much point in carrying on reading. If you are interested, I hope you enjoy this post. I am so grateful for every single gift that was given to me, and I cannot thank my friends and loved ones enough.
On Friday, my housemates and I celebrated our last day of term together. They decided to give me my birthday present Friday evening as everyone was there, and it was so sweet of them to get me something. They came in with a huge chocolate cake, beautifully decorated with candles and a gift bag. They bought me a gorgeous Cath Kidston make-up bag and umbrella, which was so nice of them! As well as this, they also came in with two boxes of the most amazing cupcakes (which I completely forgot to take a photo of before we ate them!).
As I mentioned in my previous post, my boyfriend took me for a meal on the Saturday evening as I travelled home from uni on the Sunday afternoon. We went to an Indian restaurant close to where we live, and it was really nice. I am not too good with spice but I do love a good mild curry! Poppadoms are my weakness also, they had the most amazing dips and chutneys, I was in heaven! Here is a picture of me before we went to the restaurant. It wasn’t a super posh place, so I wore my Topshop marl tee with Missguided disco pants and Primark chelsea boots. I teamed the tee with this art-deco necklace from Primark. The lipstick I am wearing is Avon Cranberry which I featured in my November Favourites. At the restaurant I decided to try something a little different and I had a ‘Mango Delight’ curry which was delicious!
On the morning of my birthday, my boyfriend gave me my birthday present and card. I was really happy to spend it with him as it was the last time we will see each other for a while as we have both gone to our respective homes for the Christmas vacation. I was so overwhelmed by what he had got me (I was close to tears!). These Swarovski earrings were gift wrapped so nicely and are very elegant. The crystal is a lavender colour and the way they catch the light is gorgeous. They are so beautiful, he has such good taste! He was so worried that I wouldn’t like them, but I love them so much and am so thankful.
When I finally got back to my home after a couple of hours on the train, there was a little collection of birthday cards that were waiting for me full of lovely messages from friends and family. My relatives then came over as I hadn’t seen them since I left for uni in September. Here are a few snaps of what I was given.
I had a great birthday all in all (apart from a long train journey) and I am so appreciative of all of the gifts I received from my very generous loved ones.
